Lindsay Stewart is Assistant Principal of Hancock Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Alabama, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University, a Specialist in Educational Leadership from William Carey University, and she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Policy and Organizational Design from Mississippi State University. Lindsay has nine years of experience in education teaching secondary English. She has held various leadership roles including School Technology Lead, Climate and Culture Lead, Professional Development Coordinator, and Professional Learning Communities Lead. Lindsay has been recognized as her school’s Teacher of the Year, as well as her district’s Teacher of the Year. Prior to her work in education, Lindsay worked for a telecommunications company where she collaborated with her employees, government agencies, and company executives to resolve critical issues. She is looking forward to using her past experiences to collaborate with all stakeholders of Hancock County to ensure students encounter an enriched educational experience.
As a lifelong resident of South Mississippi, Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors with her friends and family. She is excited about the future of Hancock Middle School and the opportunity to work with others to aid in serving all students.
